The Millennium Green was donated to the village by Robin Robertson-Glasgow in 2000. It includes an open recreation area, a Play Area (with a basket ball net) a flag pole and some picnic benches. The Chairman reported on the activities over the last year and the maintenance work that was planned on the trees surrounding the Green. The committee was reelected and it was agreed to proceed with the planned transfer of ownership from the current Trustees to the Parish Council as a singleTrustee. the following resolution was passed unanimously. That the Trust’s Declaration of Trust dated 11 February 1999 be amended, pursuant to the provisions of clause 28.2 thereof, in the manner set out in the draft Deed of Amendment made available for inspection prior to, and at, this meeting. The present trustees of the Trust are:Michael Joseph Patrick CunninghamRichard Nicholas Margrave PaigeAlbert Peter MartinIsla Margaret Mark TuckAlison HockenhallChristina Ann PearceNEW PLAY AREA EQUIPMENTAs some of you may have noticed, there are some new things at the Play Area.We are pleased to have installed a low rotator on safety wetpour surface.This works like a roundabout, by pushing your body back and forwards slowly into the centre (for those of you having trouble making it go around!!). Also a hopscotch and some "shooting stars" painted on the basketball court.Each coloured star has a number on it and that is the score you receive for hooping a basket from that position.We hope the younger members of the village will enjoy these (although I have to be honest and say I've had a go!!), along with any visitors.Thank you all for your support over the years, without which, none of the above could have finally happened.On behalf of the Play Area Management Committee, enjoy.
