Support Our Post Office: A Community Effort
Hinton Charterhouse faces the risk of losing its valuable post office due to proposed changes by the Royal Mail. The plan to move the village sorting office to Bath, scheduled for March, threatens the viability of our local post office. At a recent meeting in the Hinton Memorial Hall, postmaster Roger Jacob highlighted the challenges the business is facing and urged residents to support the post office by using its services and purchasing groceries from the village shop.
The Hinton Charterhouse Parish Council is spearheading efforts to save our post office. Residents are encouraged to write to the Royal Mail, requesting them to reconsider the proposal, and to contact our local MP, Jacob Rees-Mogg, for his support.
